LATEST ADDITIONS
NOTE - January 11th 2009
Several people have asked if I could incorporate a 'basket' and checkout. I can see the advantages but......
a) it involves setting up user-ids and passwords
b) unlike say, Amazon, I only have one copy of every card - which means that two people could put the same card in their basket, pay for it and then I would have no way of knowing who was first and it would get rather awkward. If you e-mail me I can reserve it for you on a first come, first served basis.
My plans for this year are to try to finish English counties, then add Scotland, Wales and Ireland, then start adding subject cards.

Jul 3rd - A lot of Lincs added with new pages for Cllethorpes, Gainsborough,
Grantham, Louth, Mablethorpe, Skegness, Somersby, Spalding, Stamford

Lincoln still to be added.
Please note that this site is mainly for pre-1960 cards. I also have 10,000 post 1960 cards - please mention whether you want moderns when asking for your area.
At present, this website will provide a set of 'Sales Pages with pictures' to supplement my original website at www.sjones41.freeserve.co.uk (which will continue to exist in its present form for now - containing lists of numbered topo art cards by, for example, Tucks, Salmon & Valentines and News from Up North). All postcards displayed here are for sale unless specified to the right of the image, but please contact us first to check availability.
This site will grow and change rapidly so please keep looking.
This (5500 cards) represents only 12% of my stock
I aim to eventually get 10,000 - 15,000 images on display. If you can't see what you're looking for, please e-mail me - they are not all here by a long way. You can either e-mail me via the Contact Us page or at sjones@sjones41.freeserve.co.uk
I live in Lancashire, England.
I can accept payment for any cards by Paypal or by UK cheque (please do not send cash - it gets 'lost' in the post). I do not have facilities for credit cards other than through Paypal, which seems to take about 8-10 days
For postal details and charges please refer to the Contact Us page.
Please buy with confidence - if you're unhappy and think the card has faults not described then I do offer a full refund.
The links on the left relate to each County page. As the county boundaries keep changing its difficult to locate cards where everyone can find them. The Bartholomews I use is 15 years old so it doesn't include Counties such as Hunts, Rutland etc, but does include Avon, Cleveland, Tyne & Wear, West Midlands. I have included these - but not Humberside, which no one seemed to like.
The counties will eventually be broken down into Towns/areas but if I start a page of, say Portland, it doesn't mean that's all I have - its simply that I'm trying to keep County pages reasonably small with only one or two cards from each town - hence the 'overflow' pages. I'm trying to keep everything linked - please let me know if you find any missing or broken links.
On each page are a set of images. For each image I have shown:
The exact caption
RP = real photo types, others are printed
The Publisher - where known
Dates are dates of postal usage (when used) or a reasoned estimate
The Condition - all faults described
Price
The images are deliberately low resolution for two reasons:
a) to be able to fit more on the site
b) to prevent image theft
WRITING A LOCAL HISTORY BOOK?
I can supply high quality images of all these cards - and a lot more - at only 10% of the cost of the card (minimum 50p). Please ask for details
